Our client is a well established Engineering Company who produces a range of high quality engineering products for the marine industry. There has been a continuous growth in demand for their products.
The Manufacturing Cell Leader for part of their foundry and machining facilities will bring leadership and direction to all product areas and ensure that there is an ongoing development of a team culture. In addition there will be a need to continuously improve the foundry operations machining and assembly procedures.
It is necessary to have a technical qualification with several years management experience related to aluminium sand casting foundry operations, CNC machine tooling and other production tools and equipment. There must also be knowledge of statistical process control, MRP systems and Kanban as well as an understanding of Lean manufacturing technology. The position forms part of the manufacturing management team and will contribute to tactical decision making and process improvement initiatives.
